Parents’ Representatives

Lewis Family

The Parents’ Representatives provide a link between parents and the BPSC Committee. They hope to be able to communicate any concerns, questions and information between both parties whilst also establishing an informal group of parents willing to contribute in some way to the demands of running the club.

Please feel free to contact Clare, Jo or Vanessa via the links below, or chat to them during squad training sessions or at galas if you have any questions or concerns about the club. They may not always have the answers straight away but will endeavour to find out for you.

The Parents’ Representatives are:

Lewis Family Bradley Family
Clare, whose children Nerys and Jäger are in Development Squad; Vanessa, whose children Madison and Jemima are in Junior Squad and

Jo, whose daughters Tabitha, Phoebe and Lily swim in Junior Squad, Senior Squad and Active, respectively.

Parents’ Representatives: Development Squad: Clare Lewis
Junior Squad: Vanessa Bradley
Senior Squad: Jo Webber

Seeking Gala Officials from Membership Secretary

Parents: have you ever thought of becoming a swimming official?
It is a great way to to help the club, competitive swimming and ultimately our swimmers!  Officials are responsible for timekeeping and making sure that swimmers observe the rules.  Without them, licensed and other swim meets cannot take place but officials are always in very short supply.  British Swimming have just launched a new online course (Judge Level 1) which allows parents to complete a few hours of study at their own pace, together with poolside experience at galas, both being mentored to learn the ropes and on occasions, working independently.
The club will pay the course fee and you will need to register using the club website.  Details about how to do this will be provided for anyone that may be interested.
So if you want to be part of the action, please drop Richard Pixner a line at
To find out more about becoming an official, please visit Middlesex County ASA website’s ‘New Online Judge 1 Course’ page.

QE Girls’ Update from Parents’ Representative (Development) – 11/1/20

QEG Pool
Unfortunately QE Girls’ School Board of Trustees has informed us that, due to health and safety seasons, they are no longer in a position to hire out their swimming pool for the rest of the academic year. However, BPSC are able to offer Development Squad an alternative swimming time (as well as the usual Thursday and Friday sessions at QE Boys’), at The Venue, Borehamwood on Sundays from 9.30am to 10.30am from Sunday 2nd February, 2020.
